Purpose
It provides access to advanced features for device control - the user can initiate measurements, update firmware, or RTC device clock synchronization...
- The phone must be capable of communicating via Bluetooth Low Energy.
- For stable Bluetooth communication, the device should be within a few meters of the phone - otherwise, communication may be disrupted.
- The proper functioning of the application requires Bluetooth access rights.
Connecting to the Device
To access advanced controls, you first need to connect to the specific device.
This can be done in two ways:
From the Device Information Screen
On the "Device Information Screen", you can access it by selecting a Measurement Point.
The advantage is that the screen offers both the Bluetooth password for the device (required for successful pairing) and a button to connect.
Steps to connect:
- Copy the Bluetooth password (if it is an unpaired device).
- Click the "Connect via Bluetooth" button.
From the Find Devices Screen
It allows the user to find all CHESTER devices in the vicinity – scanning through Bluetooth.
The user can subsequently connect (disconnect) to the found devices.
If it is an unpaired device, the user needs the Bluetooth password, which can only be obtained on the "Device Information Screen" as per the previous procedure.
