External Charts (shareable)

The External Charts portal lets you share charts with anyone without creating a portal account. Recipients only need a link that contains a valid authorization token.

Portal URL

How it works

1. A Global Admin or Organization Admin creates a share token in the main portal (Charts → Tab Menu → Data Sharing)
2. A link is generated that embeds the token
3. Anyone with the link can open it and view the charts in this External Charts portal

User Permissions

Share token creation and full management is limited to Global Admins and Organization Admins. Users below Organization Admin can only see their own tokens.

What’s included

External Charts is a focused version of the Charts page:

• Interval selection and Quick Select (3 months, 2 months, 1 month, week, day)
• Measurement Summary tab
• Device Summary tab
• Parameters Settings tab (Test only; Save is not available here)
• Charts for supported data types (same visuals as in the main portal)

Not included:

• Data Sharing tab (tokens are managed in the main portal)
• InfluxDB Tokens tab

Using a shared link

1. Open the link in a browser
2. The portal validates the token from the URL and loads the authorized charts
3. Adjust the displayed interval or use Quick Select
4. Use the Tab Menu to view summaries or test parameter changes (no save)

warning

If the page reports invalid token/URL parameters, the token may have expired or the URL was modified. Ask the sender to regenerate the link.

Parameters in External Charts

• You can test parameters and immediately see the effect
• Saving parameters is disabled in External Charts; permanent changes are done in the main portal under Parameters Settings
