Geosnake Dashboard
Monitor long-term displacement of a segmented GeoSnake device installed in boreholes or on walls, visualize movement over depth and time, and export results.
Before You Begin
To access this feature, first select:
- Organization — required
- Construction — required
- Measurement Point — required (must have a GeoSnake device assigned and sending data)
This route is available to users who have access to an Organization with the Geosnake application enabled. Global Admins assign applications to Organizations; users in those Organizations gain access automatically.
- Portal route: Geosnake Dashboard → https://portal.statotest.com/geo-snake-animation
What you can do
- Choose a time range and load measured data
- Play an animation over the selected period (frame-by-frame or auto-loop)
- Inspect movement charts by depth (X–Depth and Z–Depth)
- Export raw animation data to CSV
- View the Statistics Model (median and 5%/95% intervals) and export it
- Open Advanced Calculations to view Inclination and Smoothed Inclination charts
For the animation controls (slider, auto-loop, speed, prev/next), see the reusable component guide: Animation Control.
How it works (at a glance)
A GeoSnake is a chain of sensorized segments. It measures per-segment movement and orientation over time. You can:
- Install it vertically in a borehole to track subsurface deformation by depth
- Fix it to a wall or structure to monitor displacement over its length
In the dashboard, movement is shown over time and depth. Depth is expressed in meters (device length). Lateral displacements are shown in millimeters.

Quick start
- Select Organization, Construction, and a Measurement Point with a GeoSnake device
- Set the Displayed Interval
- Click View
- Use the Animation Control to navigate frames or enable Auto loop
- Optionally export CSV, open Statistics Model, or view Advanced Calculations
