Register a device under an Organization

Registering a device makes it manageable by the Organization and enables assignment to a Measurement Point.

User Permissions

Organization-level device management (register/unregister devices under an Organization) is Global Admin only.

Before you begin​

  • Know which Organization the device belongs to
  • (Optional) Decide if you will assign the device to a Measurement Point right after registration

Steps​

  1. Open Devices and expand the Unregistered devices panel
  2. Click Assign on the selected device card
  3. In the modal:
    • Select the Organization
    • (Optional) Select the target Measurement Point
  4. Confirm to register (and optionally assign)

Outcomes​

  • Registered only
    • The device appears in the Organization as Available
  • Registered and assigned
    • The device appears in Assigned devices for the selected Measurement Point
Note

Moving a device to another Organization requires unregistering it first, then registering under the new Organization. Both actions are Global Admin only.
